[The Pokégear feed switches on (with ease, it seems; there's no tapping or frustration at all) to the voice of a young woman, presumably in her twenties. A professional air surrounds her in how she speaks.
She had noticed the 'video' function, but it's always easier to play it safe and not show your face until it's futile to hide it.]
I'd like to request any information on this place and 'Pokémon', please. And what the significance of the generic journey that 'Mom' spoke about is.

I wonder if any of you have heard of the Badlands? I'm looking for some people to confirm some suspicions I have about the circumstances of my whereabouts.
[If there wasn't so much secrecy to do with 'RED', 'BLU' and 'TFindustries', then she would have just asked if anyone knew of those. No doubt, Badlands is quite a generic name in stories and such, so people may have heard of the name from those... But she has little else to work with, so it'll do.]
